Since joining Word by Word in 2024, she has contributed to a wide range of client projects, including user manuals, scientific journal articles, social media content, and website design.

Her strength lies in making technical information both accurate and engaging, whether for regulators, researchers, or real-world users. With a detail-oriented mindset and a knack for clarity, she helps medical device companies communicate with confidence in regulated, high-stakes environments.

Elaine specializes in user-focused content strategy, regulatory and customer-facing documentation, and digital marketing assets that build credibility, support education, and drive growth. She brings practical insight into the medical device space and a passion for clear, purposeful communication.

When not working, she keeps busy with her husband and three kids, family, and friends. She is actively involved in her church and volunteers in several capacities. For fun, she enjoys watching her kids’ activities, reading, walking, and learning new things.

Elaine’s professional writing journey began at a startup medical diagnostics company, where she wore many hats. She started in R&D while also supporting Operations, then moved into a role within New Product Development. There, she provided technical support and developed training materials, internal documentation, protocols, and other customer-facing resources, gaining hands-on experience translating complex technical details into clear, usable content.

During a career break to raise her three children, she developed skills in creative writing, graphic design, social media management, and website design. During that season, she managed her blog and its social media presence and volunteered to manage social media accounts for a local chapter of a nonprofit organization.

Her love of writing continued to deepen, both technically and creatively. She began writing devotional lessons for her church, a practice she continues today alongside her client work. Based in Minnesota, Elaine brings clarity, care, and professionalism to every project, with a commitment to serving clients with excellence in regulated and technical spaces.
